Roland comments: The students made the running and talk was mostly of Fremder. I am not sure that many of them had read Angelica's Grotto. We did mention the No 14 'bus though, so I suppose we did talk Grotto at some stage. We talked a lot about Russ's research methods/compulsions, which involve a tape recorder and two cameras. I pointed out that one couldn't have done much research of that sort for Fremder, to which he countered, 'Ah but I've got an imagination as well!' Fremder, he said, was a 'soup' with lots of his major obsessions boiled down in it. The location was in Fulham just on top of a tube station so our conversation was suitably punctuated with train-sounds!
